PTO Meeting Minutes

1/14/09

ATTENDEES:  Denise Nicholas, Dawn Craft, James Barger,  Jay Sutter, Joye DeBonis, Debbie Cunningham, Nancy Maher, Barb Clark, Dawn Brown, Teresa Westendorf, Natalie Crawford, Melissa Novick, Donna Arnold, Lynn Mack, John McGraw, Roxanne Your, Susan Henize, Beth Flanigan, Denise Castle

Jay Sutter called meeting to order at 6:32pm at WES

Introductions- Jay introduced himself to everyone as the new president

Approval of minutes from previous meeting

Treasurer’s report was read but not accepted due to missing reports

Board Announcements:

Resignation of Sarah Williams due to personal reasons

Old Business:

-Santa Breakfast & Santa’s Secret Shop & Spirit Wear brought in $1600 on Dec 6.

-Warrior Warehouse, 2^nd & 4^th Tuesday each month, is doing well. Denise Castle needs help. 

New Business:

-Skate night will be 1/15, 630-830

-Family Sports Night- volunteers are still needed

-Valentines Day- Candy roses to be sold at lunch time

-Meijer Rewards- Board is encouraging people to sign up for their reward card

-Boxtops- Janice Brown leading; so far $322.20 has been collected

Scholarships- Board is going to check into who won last year and the procedure for this year

Carnival Theme- will be “sports” theme

Market Day- February goal is $3000

Good News Willowville:

Shannon Linder had a baby boy on 1/13/09; Caden Patrick Linder 9lb 4oz; mom & baby doing fine!

Discussion & Decision

School mall website was turned down by PTO

Jump Zone Milford has contacted PTO to make us aware of their opening.

Mrs. Clark inquired about distribution of science monies; board will consider & respond
